It has been brought to our attention the District Superintendent will be making a recommendation to discontinue the string instrument part of our music department district wide. Please see the attached flyer so you will have further information concerning this issue and how you can be involve as a parent. We are making band booster parents aware of this information because if the recommendation is approved, it will affect many students in band whom are in orchestra as well as involvement in the pit orchestras for GSPA. Again, we are asking for your support to be at the meetings which are indicated in the flyer. The first meeting is THIS TUESDAY, APRIL 28 at 7:00 P.M. in COMMUNITY HALL. It is imperative we allow those who will be making decisions understand the necessity of the stringed instrument program as well as the entire music and fine arts departments of our district.
